Changes this week
- You can use TemplateData to indicate how you want a template to be displayed in wikitext. Tools like VisualEditor that edit templates will soon use this information. [1]
- Echo notification icons in MonoBook will look more like other icons in the theme. [2]
- The Community Tech team is doing a community wishlist survey to understand what they should be working on. They are now accepting proposals in all languages. You can create your proposal in the small box above the blue button and click it when you're done.
- Wikis can make the welcome notification link to a specific page. [3]
- The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from November 17. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis from November 18. It will be on all Wikipedias from November 19 (calendar).

- You can join the next meeting with the VisualEditor team. During the meeting, you can tell developers which bugs you think are the most important. The meeting will be on 17 November at 19:00 (UTC). See how to join.
Future changes
- Internet Explorer 8 will no longer have JavaScript support. You will still be able to browse and edit Wikipedia, but will not be able to use some features. This can be solved by upgrading to a newer version or switching to a different browser. The change will happen in January 2016. [4][5]

Hvorfor kan vi ikke have en dialog om de skodrettelser, som Sharradan laver?
Det er ikke nemt at komme med konstruktive tiltag, når mine oplæg altid bliver slettet.

Skabelon:Infoboks folk
[rediger kildetekst]Hej Palnatoke. Jeg skriver til dig, fordi jeg har et problem angående denne infoboks. Jeg synes ikke, at den er særlig hensigstmæssig og heller ikke særlig pæn. Jeg har derfor for længe siden lavet en anden og mere hensigtsmæssig udgave, som jeg længe har brugt i forbindelse med de artikler, jeg har skrevet om emnet. Et eksempel på brug af den "gamle" infoboks er Russere. Et eksempel på brug af den "nye" infoboks er Frisere.
En sammentælling viser, at den "gamle infoboks" er anvendt i 25 artikler, den "nye" i 44 artikler, og 129 har ingen infoboks overhovedet (dertil kommer 2-3 artikler med en helt tredje infoboks). Stillingen er således ca. 1:2 med hensyn til brugen, hvilket afspejler min aktivitet inden for emnet.
Nu er spørgsmålet: hvordan skal det gøres fx hvis jeg gerne vil have, at vi går helt over til den "nye" type? Opretter jeg en diskussion på Landsbybrønden eller på infoboksens diskussionsside eller hvordan? venlig hilsen Rmir2 (diskussion) 26. nov 2015, 12:18 (CET)
- Den "nye" er alene mere hensigtsmæssig, hvis du er den eneste bruger. Den "gamle" benytter parametre og kan tilrettes centralt. Der er ingen god grund til at skifte infoboksen ud, men hvis der er parametre, der mangler i den "gamle", må vi da sørge for at tilføje dem. --Palnatoke (diskussion) 27. nov 2015, 08:12 (CET)

- Hvis vi bliver enige om at infoboksen skal være en anden farve, kan vi blot ændre det i Skabelon:Infoboks folk, og hvis vi vil have flere oplysninger med, vil vi indsætte flere linjer i Skabelon:Infoboks folk. Og hvis vi ønsker at oplysningerne skal ligge i Wikidata, er det også nemmere med Skabelon:Infoboks folk.
