- Started work on taking ranks into account for queries, the property parser function and Lua. (By default only preferred values should be used if available. If not available then it should use values with rank normal.)

Tankoubon

Det var faktisk med fuldt overlæg, at jeg havde oprettet artiklen om japanske mangabind under Tankoubon og ikke Tankōbon. Årsagen er at ō og tilsvarende bogstaver med en streg over ikke findes i dansk retskrivning og ej heller tilsvarende på japansk. Stregen, en en:macron, bruges derimod på engelsk til at angive lange vokaler. På dansk angiver retskrivningsreglerne, at man i sådanne tilfælde kan bruge en eller to vokaler. Japansk-dansk ordbog af Mike L. Griebel (den eneste af slagsen) anbefaler to vokaler. I praksis er vi dog selvfølgelig nød til at undtage ved indarbejdede navne som så Tokyo, hvor en direkte translitteration egentlig ville give Toukyou.
Japansk adskiller sig en hel del fra vestlige sprog, idet sproget primært er bygget op på vokaler og stavelser bestående af vokal+konsonant foruden n som den eneste enkeltstående konsonant. Det ser man ikke umiddelbart ud fra stavemåden med kanji, 単行本, men tager vi læsemåden, der angives med hiragana i den japanske artikel, たんこうぼん, får vi ta-n-ko-u-bo-n.
Imidlertid er det sådan, at de fleste skriverier om Japan er baseret på engelske artikler og lignende, hvorfra ord og navne oftest genbruges uændret. I de fleste tilfælde gør det ikke noget, men lige de lange vokaler er en forskel. Stavemåden med macron forekommer ganske vist også på en række andre sprog, men deres informationer om Japan går også via engelsk. Den tyske artikel er for eksempel for en stor dels vedkommende netop baseret på den engelske. Men det rykker altså ikke ved, at dansk retskrivning ikke vil kendes ved macron og faktisk end ikke har et ord for det. --Dannebrog Spy (diskussion) 27. mar 2014, 23:50 (CET)

Den er simpel hen for stor til at spørge efter hver tilfælge - så hvis du vil komme mig i forløbet - så gennemgå listen for det, som du synes er relevant. - Reduced page load time significantly once again. Page load time was cut to roughly 2/3. For now we’re happy with the resulting page load times. We’ll start concentrating on other areas of the user interface now.
- Fixed faulty selection handling when adding a property using the keyboard (bugzilla:62868)
- Worked on fixing issues with handling of spaces in quantities (bugzilla:62567)
- Fixed miscount of Wikidata changes on the client watchlist (bugzilla:45812)
- Wrote new browser tests for special pages using the Cucumber and Selenium frameworks
- Improved error formatting, localisation and handling. We will work on error message wording next to make them more understandable.
- Worked on the code which propagates page moves from the clients into Wikidata as a preparation for allowing page deletions to appear on Wikidata
- Made the Wikibase extension work with the new “Compact language links” Beta feature and a bit more independent from the UniversalLanguageSelector in general
- The student team working on the entity suggester has finished the first version of it. The code is being reviewed now and is hopefully ready for deployment soon. Once it is deployed it will show you what new properties you could add to an item.

- Kategori:Sider med fejlartig koordinatmærker bruges af Modul:Coordinates til at melde fejl. Den er blevet godt tømt. Så din ændring har haft sin positiv virkning. Der er en anden kategori - Kategori:Sider med fejlagtige koordinattags - hvor der er artikler, som skal kigges igennem.
- På længere sigt bør Skabelon:Kortpositioner komme på linie med den engelske. Der sker meget af arbejdet i et lua-modul. Den kunne måske have løst nogle af problemer med håndtering af koordinater. --Steen Th (diskussion) 8. apr 2014, 09:17 (CEST)

- Jeg har haft kig på den søgning nogle år, da det er et http-link til en lokal side, da vi kan bedre håndtere interne links med wiki-syntaks end med http-syntaks og derfor har jeg en gang imellem konverteret de links til http til wikisyntaks. For et måneder siden er WPCW observation nr 90 kommet, der fanger løbende de http-links og det har medført at jeg meget hyppigt vil møde den søgning i Staude - så der skulle ske en eller anden.
- Jeg har kigget lidt på alternativer. Jeg ved at der på toollabs (og den toolserver.org som er under afvikling), findes en værktøj til det samme, som også skulle give en bedre formatering af søgeresultatet. Men jeg ikke lige kunne finde den nu og her.. Men den kunne ses på. --Steen Th (diskussion) 19. apr 2014, 23:36 (CEST)
- OK, søgningen er også at finde på Kategori:Stauder - måske man kunne henvise dertil. Men du har efterladt artiklen sådan at det sidste afsnit ikke giver mening - sætningen "Artikler kategoriseret som enten flerårige urter og haveplanter." er ikke korrekt dansk. --Honymand (diskussion) 20. apr 2014, 15:38 (CEST)
