Kriminelle
[rediger kildetekst]Jeg kan se, at du er gået i gang med at rydde op i de problematiske kategorier "kriminelle". Jeg er meget enig i, at vi skal være ekstremt varsomme med at bruge stemplet "kriminelle". På den anden side kan meget opnås ved en stram kategoribeskrivelse. Eksempelvis har Kategori:Kriminelle fra USA beskrivelsen "Kategori for amerikanere, der er dømt for kriminalitet". Den definition opfylder eksempelvis Henry Hill og John Hinckley, Jr. (sidstnævnte burde dog nok have været i Kategori:Mordere fra USA). Har oprydningen været drøftet i et bredere forum ?
For en lang række af de personer, der har været angivet i kategorien "kriminelle" er situationen den, at de alene er notable på grund af spektakulær kriminalitet. Det forekommer derfor ikke helt stringent blot at betegne dem, som "personer". Vi har tidligere haft brugere, der satte pæne mennesker i kriminalitetskategorierne baseret på banale færdselsforseelser, men derfra og så til at smide alle ud af kriminalitetskategorierne er et stykke vej. --Pugilist (diskussion) 28. okt 2016, 12:13 (CEST)
- Diskussionen er præcis den samme som i forhold til Kategori:Kriminelle og Kategori:Kriminelle fra Danmark - uanset om kategorierne har en stram kategoribeskrivelse, er selve kategorinavnet et problem. Man kan ikke med rimelighed forvente at en læser klikker på de enkelte kategorinavne i bunden af en artikel for at finde ud af at "kriminelle" betyder noget andet. --Palnatoke (diskussion) 28. okt 2016, 13:25 (CEST)
- Betegnelsen kriminel har vist mange forskellige defintioner. I stedet for at selv forsøge at stadfæste forskellige personlige definitioner, bør man hellere søge at få skabt en mere veldefineret kategori, hvor det fremgår af kategorinavn og kategoribeskrivelse, hvad den indeholder. Men som Pugilist antyder, diskussionen hører ikke hjemme på en brugerdiskussionsside, men på Landsbybrønden eller på kategoriens diskussionsside. --Madglad (diskussion) 28. okt 2016, 13:33 (CEST)
- Hvis en betegnelse har mange forskellige definitioner, er den simpelthen ikke velegnet som kategorinavn. Og vi har taget diskussionen. Vi har bare (som så ofte før) været sløve til at effektuere det, vi nåede konsensus om. --Palnatoke (diskussion) 28. okt 2016, 14:06 (CEST)

Recent changes
- Now you can include Commons video films with subtitles in your wiki language. Before you could see translated videos on file page at Commons only. [1]
- Search now has an updated preference tab to configure the search completion suggester. [2]
- The visual editor is now available on all wikis using only one language script. [3]
Changes this week
The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from November 1st. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from November 2nd. It will be on all wikis from November 3rd (calendar).- Now you can use autocomplete for page names in "Forhåndsvis en side med denne skabelon" field when editing templates. [4]
- Special:NewPages can now be filtered by page size. [5]
