- MediaWiki wikis can handle bigger file uploads. The new limit is 4 GB. [4]

- Wikimedia has a new backup data center in Dallas. Because of planned work on this, you will be able to read but not edit the wikis for a short period of time on both 19 April and 21 April. This will start at 14:00 UTC and last for 15 to 30 minutes. [5]
- There is no new Mediawiki version this week. This is because of the data center test.

Brugge
[rediger kildetekst]Under læsningen af artikel om Novgorod faldt jeg over dette: "I 1200-tallet blev Novgorod en del af Hansaen og blev en af Europas fire vigtigste handelsbyer sammen med Bergen, Brugge og London"
Det ville jeg så omformulere til
"I 1200-tallet var Brugge en del af Hansaen og dermed en af Europas fire vigtigste handelsbyer sammen med Novgorod, Bergen og London"
som et forslag til forfatteren af Brugge-artiklen, så denne kunne overveje at indføre det.

- Ja, det går tidvist i kage, når man er magelig og bruger iPhone/Pad. Man hopper rundt og kan ikke se, "hvor man er".
- Men bortset fra det: hvordan finder man den oprindelige opretter/forfatter til en side? Udgangspunktet var Novgorod: " I 1200-tallet blev Novgorod en del af Hansaen og blev en af Europas fire vigtigste handelsbyer sammen med Bergen, Brugge og London." Jeg var lidt for hurtig og 'læste', at så var de 3 andre også Hansesteder. Det gik nogenlunde med Brugge - med din tekniske hjælp. I Bergen-artiklen står der rigeligt om Hansestederne. Og forskellen på status, underordnet Lübeck osv. Da jeg så ville tilføje sætningen til London, blev der reageret, og jeg kan nu se, at formuleringen vedr. Brugge nok nu er forkert. Hvad så ? Kunne forfatteren til artiklen Hanse-steder kontaktes, sådan at der - i konsensus med de enkelte artiklers forfattere - kom en redigering, så Hanse-forholdet beskrives ens? London-artiklen nævner ikke begrebet Hansa/e, og jeg synes, at det skal adresseres på en eller anden måde. Morten Svensson (diskussion) 23. apr 2016, 10:27 (CEST)

- @Morten Svensson: Der er typisk ikke nogen speciel pointe i at kontakte en artikels oprindelige forfatter. Den bedste måde at kommentere problemer i en artikels indhold er at skrive på artiklens egen diskussionsside. Så kan alle, der interesserer sig for emnet reagere på det, og ikke kun en enkelt bruger (samt de der evt. følger denne). Allerbedst er vel egentlig selv at rette det, man mener bør ændres, men er man usikker, er diskussionssiden bedste valg. --Arne (Amjaabc) (diskussion) 23. apr 2016, 12:03 (CEST)
