25th November 1935 Axel Wilhelm Holm and Frederik Jørgen Buch founded the limited Danish company Buch & Holm A/S. The two young men got in touch with each other through an advertisement in the newspaper. Frederik Jørgen Buch was looking for a business partner and co-investorto start his own business. The company’s concept was simple, - import and sales of surgicalinstruments. Axel Holm had been an export manager at company Georg Jensen and was raised by a father who was a doctor, thus he had a good understanding of the products as well as the customers. Today Buch & Holm is located in Herlev, Copenhagen and supply equipment, inventory and consumables to Danish and Swedish laboratories, quality control and the industry.
